Survey Says… and We're Listening!

Lift Orlando and the Orlando Housing Authority are committed to engaging with the residents of our Public Housing developments to understand their needs and preferences. As part of our Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant, HUD requires surveying at least 65% of the residents at Lorna Doone Apartments and Lake Mann Homes Communities. But we aimed higher, striving for 80% participation, and we're thrilled to report that we exceeded that goal.

To make it even more meaningful, we offered gift cards as an incentive and worked tirelessly to encourage participation. And it paid off—we achieved an impressive 80% household participation rate at both properties!

But we didn't stop there. We wanted to hear from the broader community, so we launched a massive door-to-door survey initiative in the Choice Neighborhoods focus area. For eight weeks, our survey team went door-to-door, asking residents to share their thoughts on their community. We were advised that 10% participation would be sufficient, but we were determined to reach our goal of 20%. And guess what? We did it! We collected over 600 surveys, meeting our target.

The results are in, and we can't wait to share them with you. Join us at the Community Insights Meeting on July 31st at the L. Claudia Allen Senior Center from 5:30 to 7:30 PM to see the findings and provide your feedback. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of our community. RSVP now and join us for an evening of discovery and collaboration!
